The purpose of the Customer Service Officer role is to proactively interact with customers and carriers while processing bookings, enquiries and special requests accurately and in a timely manner.

As a Customer Service Officer - Support you will:


Key result areas

  • Provide a high level of professional customer service

  • Accurate record keeping of pickups, enquiries, action taken & complaints in efm customer service program

  • Good use of initiative and going above & beyond to service customers

  • Regular and reliable attendance

Key responsibilities

  • Deal directly with customers by either phone/email or fax or IT System

  • Process and book pickups in a timely manner

  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries

  • Direct requests and enquiries to the relevant carrier providing frequent updates to customers

  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints

  • Communicate and co-ordinate with internal departments

  • Escalate difficult/high priority enquiries to appropriate internal stakeholders

  • Other duties as required


The Candidate:

  • Prior experience within a customer service role in a corporate setting is essential

  • Transport/Logistics Industry experience beneficial but not essential
